Dive

Here’s a song about the curse of the rhyme.

In and of themselves, songs / lyrics come with ‘the curse’ built in by default and the ‘Muse’ is less than forgiving of those who like me are born rebels.

This track; ‘Dive’, is from the recently released album ‘Breathe’. This album is a collection of songs written and recorded in variations of an my own version of ‘Open F tuning’

The melodies are rendered out in either Locrian or Phrygian Mode. Personally, I quite like these ‘modes’ as they typically don’t resolve well and are good for writing songs “that disturb the comfortable and comfort the disturbed”.

And yes, to answer the unasked question, AI is used in the production pipeline. However, if anyone wants to drop at least $500,000 (session musicians, rehearsal time, studio time and compensation for time off work, at least two years) into my bank account I’ll happily re-record most ( 11 albums and 17 EP’s ) of what I’ve got up on streaming services. 😉
